Theo's Pocket was named in honor of Theo Van Gogh, Vincent Van Gogh's brother. He was a successful art gallery owner. He loved, supported, and encouraged a mentally-ill Vincent through all of the painter's troubled life, writing him letters, and sending him funds to keep him going. Theo died not long after the death of his now famous brother. Without Theo, Vincent's art would have likely never been discovered. We conduct hands on art programs by experienced instructors for Special Needs and the Mental Health Community, with special art programs and techniques. It is not "Art Therapy", but specialized and customized art lessons for special people. Our art lessons aid in positive physical movement, and boost self-esteem in a healthy and welcoming environment.
